Avalonia UI - Collaborate with Xamarin Forms - Modernise WPF - Create Windows, MacOS and Linux desktop apps

In this session, we're looking at Avalonia, the cross-platform .NET XAML based spiritual successor to WPF.

I'll introduce you to Avalonia, explain its architecture, its strengths and weaknesses, and jump into Visual Studio and write some code so that you can see it in action.

We'll then examine why developers like JetBrains have selected Avalonia for modernising and enabling cross-platform support for their WPF based developer tools.

Bio: Mike joined Microsoft in 2016 with the acquisition of Xamarin, having worked as a cross-platform developer with a passion for numerous years. He's excited by XAML based UI technologies and is currently actively working with Avalonia to develop cross-platform desktop apps.
