BitDevs Monthly Hackathon 1: Capture the Coin

Big news!

BitDevs will be hosting its first hackathon on Feb. 22, 2014 @ the NYC Bitcoin Center. This is a capture the flag type event where players put their information security and Bitcoin knowledge to the test.

The playing field is a vulnerable web application, an online Bitcoin wallet. Players and spectators contribute funds to this wallet. (Cash will be exchanged for Bitcoin.)

The winner is the player who successfully penetrates the server, accesses the working wallet account, and sends the Bitcoin therein to their own personal address. Winner takes all!

There are three objects to this game:

• 1. To have fun

• 2. To learn about information security and Bitcoin

• 3. To capture the coin
