HANDS-ON Workshop: Setting Up Hardware Wallets: by Bitcoin LA Meetup

We are excited to announce a hands-on workshop where you will physically work with a hardware wallet and learn the comprehensive security precautions that are necessary to protect your coins.

This workshop will be limited to 8 people.

In the 3-hour hands-on workshop you will learn:
• How to select a wallet
• Where to purchase

• How to set up your wallet
  • How to recreate your wallet if lost or stolen
  • Ways to keep your private seed protected
  • How to add alt coins

There will be time for Q & A throughout the workshop.

**Bring your own wallet to set up (or we will have one for you to practice on)

**You will need to bring your laptop.

The wallets you create in the workshop are not the ones you will actually use. You will be trained so that when you leave, you can create your own wallet with your own privacy and be completely secure.

We will be using Trezor, KeepKey, Digital Bitbox, Ledger Nano, Ledger Nano S and HW1 wallets. We will also look at web wallets and other implementations of bitcoin wallets.

Byron Yee will teaching us. He has been setting up wallets for over 4 years.
