FARCASTER protocol - Atomic swaps between Monero and Bitcoin

Details
Bitcoin’s transparent ledger allows every stakeholder to validate its history, but it is also susceptible to chain-analysis, leading to the deanonymization of Bitcoin users.
Atomic swaps are an interoperability solution between blockchains that form the digital equivalent of a cash exchange, and so with an atomic swap from Bitcoin to a more privacy preserving cryptocurrency, users could restore their anonymity online.
Like Bitcoin, Monero is a blockchain based cryptocurrency with meaningful distinguishing features:
⭐︎ Monero maintains and augments a traditional feature of fiat cash:
obfuscated transactions.
⭐︎ Fostering GPU mining over industrial ASIC mining.
⭐︎ Blocks every 2 minutes with block rewards continuously decreasing
but tail emission unlimited in time - supply not limited to
21m like Bitcoin - but emission target still 0%.
The Farcaster project is a new protocol that enables such atomic swaps between Bitcoin and Monero. Joël Gugger, Sebastian Küng, and Robert Hambrock from the Farcaster project will present to a broadly privacy concerned audience how this enables them to break the surveillance chain of their Bitcoin and protect their legitimate privacy interests.
A good understanding of Monero contributes to competent, objective and fair discussions about this privacy focused cryptocurrency.
Due to current corona regulations there will be no drinks available on site.
