To close out a year in which Bitcoin Meetups have been made Great Again (or crypto meetups being made Bitcoin again), the Bitcoin Sydney crew has decided to celebrate with something that is becoming a tradition among Bitcoiners around the world: A carnivory feast.

Whilst Bitcoin is, for the most part, a serious business with talk of Austrian economics, personal economic sovereignty, and the future of money, this movement has also spawned its fair share of memes. The Bitcoin community generally embraces these with good humour, particularly those conferred upon us by our detractors.

To that end, Friar Hass, following on from his very entertaining November sermon, will also be on hand to say grace and lead us in thanks and praise of our lord and financial saviour Satoshi Nakomoto (keys be upon him).

So far, we’ve booked a table for 20 at Braza Churrascaria – Brazilian BBQ House Darling Harbour.

In order to be sure of our attendances and get our restaurant booking right, we will collect the $59 dinner cost before the event. Only drinks and any optional extras will need to be paid for on the night.

If you are unfamiliar with Brazilian BBQ, it involves a flat-rate all-you-can-eat set menu. Servers continually bring around a variety of delicious meat types as well several side dishes until you decide you’re full. So, remember to bring an empty stomach and gents, a few spare notches on your belt. For those of you who are not into the whole meat eating thing, good news: There is a vegetarian option for the same price.
