Come raft with us on the Chattahoochee River (Columbus, GA/Phenix City, AL), the longest urban whitewater rafting in the world! The course has been described to be “Wild as Colorado and Warm as Costa Rica.” USA Today picked the Chattahoochee Whitewater Park as one of the Top 12 man-made Adventures in the World! The course consists of class II-V whitewater and is one of the most exciting sections of whitewater in the US! They are able to run two types of trips (Classic and Challenge) on the same 2.5 mile stretch of river due to the dam-controlled release which occurs daily! During the day, the river will run at approx. 800cfs with Class I-III+(IV) rapids which is a perfect combination of fun and adventure In the afternoon, the water cranks up to ~4,000-13,000cfs (5-15x the morning flow!) with Class III-V rapids, which are some of the biggest on the east coast and provide for a wild and exciting trip that is unlike any other! Come join in the excitement and experience some of the biggest rapids east of the Mississippi! This is not your ordinary trip! Experience the biggest whitewater in the Eastern United States! The river has rapids like those found in Colorado and Zimbabwe! You will be accompanied by expert guides who will bring you home to tell a great new story of your experience! Guests must be 12 years of age to participate. This trip departs from our Columbus, Georgia Location. Duration: 3 Hours (approx.) Location: Columbus, GA Product code: challenge-ga Details: We will depart Atlanta around noon to head to Columbus, GA. Rafting Trip starts at 5pm so we should be at the Post by 3:30pm the lastest. The trip last about 3 hours so we will be staying the night at Columbus. We will catch a movies on one of their big IMAX screen and stay the night at the Hilton Hotel Perhaps Homewood Suites or Doubletree. Those who do not want to stay the night are welcome to drive their own vehicles and drive home after the rapids.

This charming mountain village is nestled in the lush Chattahoochee National Forest and is known for it's pleasant and unique shopping with friendly folks and an old-time atmosphere. Our regularly schedule trips are 26 miles roundtrip (4 hours ) winding along the beautiful Toccoa River inyour choice of vintage, climate controlled rail cars or open-air rail cars arriving in the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. Passengers have a 2 hour layover in McCaysville/Copperhill; plenty of time to eat lunch, shop for unique crafts and antiques, snack on ice cream, or walk across the old bridge in town to view the river. • What to bring • Important to know We are not booked as a group.
