What we’re about
Connecting with new girlfriends is hard. Connecting with new friends who are also bookworms? Even harder. Through Black Girls With Bookmarks, we’ll read a new book each month, then get together to disscuss and connect. Look forward to book swaps, themed meet ups, exploring the Charlotte area, and forming friendships!

IN-PERSON Book Journaling Workshop
Location not specified yetYou’ve seen the gorgeous spreads on your feed, now it’s time to create your own!
Join us for an intimate, hands-on workshop led by our very own Christine, where we will bridge the gap between reading and creating. Whether you're a seasoned journaler pro or a complete beginner, this session is designed to help you curate a physical home for your 2026 literary journey. We’ll also have light snacks to fuel your creativity.
What We’ll Do
We’ll provide templates and layout ideas to help you build out your reading trackers, challenges, and review spreads, as well as how to add personality to your journal and make it your own.
What to Bring
Please bring a fresh journal to start the year! Our workshop leader recommends an A5 or B6 size for the perfect balance of space and portability. Your journal can be:
- Dot Grid (great for creative layouts)
- Lined or Graph (great for structured notes)
- Blank (great for freeform layouts)
If you have journaling supplies you'd like to use (or share!) feel free to bring them as well!
