It’s my one-year anniversary of organizing our book club meetings for Black Reads and I want to celebrate this occasion with a little music – and yes, a little booze. (It’s New Orleans, right?)
In honor of this occasion and to celebrate Black Music Month, we will briefly discuss “Let Love Rule,” a memoir by Lenny Kravitz (aka my husband in my mind). "Let Love Rule" covers a vast canvas of the first 25 years of Lenny’s life, a story of a wild creative kid who grows up to become a musician, song writer, producer, actor, and overall G.O.A.T. of rock and roll. So, join us to engage in fiery debates over a glass of wine, champagne, mimosa or whatever you want to drink at the Nola Art Bar. Let’s transform our celebration into an instrument of musical liberation!!!
