What we're about

Introvert or extrovert, you might be a little awkward or shy. You meet people all the time, but you may find it hard to make real connections because you can be shy. And people often mistake your shyness for being uptight, snooty, aloof, unapproachable, weird, or uninterested.

But that's not you at all. You're compassionate. Considerate. Thoughtful. Caring. Adventurous. Creative. Quirky. Unique. You’re awesome. And you're not alone.

I've been judged for being "different"--left out of groups, wondering why no one seemed to “get” me. And I've always wanted friendships with Black folks who could look beyond stereotypes and connect with the real me.

You too may want those kinds of friendships. This group is the place for that. Let's have the relationships we want. Let's be the supportive, life-loving women and men we want to be. Let's share our stories with others who can relate and want to have fulfilling, honest friendships, too. And let's have a great time while doing that. We're unique, and that's a wonderful thing. We're Black Unicorns. Let's get to know each other.

No matter your sexual orientation, gender or lack thereof, or religious belief, you’re welcome here!

International Women’s Day Trivia Happy Hour!

Needs a location

Ladies, come celebrate International Women’s Day with a Women’s History Month Style Icon Trivia Night and Happy Hour.

While the fashion industry continues to introduce us to new styles every season, the industry would not be where it is today without the help of influential women.

Female style icons not only give us something to strive for but also inspire us to take pieces of our own and blend them together by women they see on the street, on the runway or from famous style icons.

Come listen to Eileen Carlucci, Redesign Your Life Coach offer tips on how to uncover the rules you have around style and if they are serving you in the advancement of your goals. Then give you the tools to head on over, go shopping in your own closet to find those hidden gems, then pair, repurpose and create your personal style.

Eileen will intertwine these great tips with a Women’s History Trivia Game and there will be lots of fun prizes for the winners.

To add more fun to the evening, add a favorite accessory to represent your favorite style icon, such as a big gorgeous pair of sunglasses to represent Coco Channel.

Hope to see you for this fun night of meeting new friends, cocktails, trivia, prizes, learning some great new fashion tips and celebrating both International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month!
