This is a support group for Black Canadians who are vegetarian, vegan, or raw foodies, and those who are interested in changing to a vegetarian and ultimately vegan lifestyle. Black Canadians are very high on the list of those suffering from food-borne diseases like Arthritis, Alzheimer's, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Obesity, Parkinson's and Lupus. Let's join forces to support each other and respectfully encourage our families and friends to adopt this very healthful, disease preventing lifestyle. Activities will include monthly vegan brunches, dining at vegan-friendly restaurants, educational outings, weekly workshops/lectures, farmer's market, potluck, etc. Members are encouraged to suggest events and share nutritional tips, and recipes.
