This will be our very first meetup at the excellent Rainmaking Loft (http://www.rainmakingloft.com/berlin/welcome) home to the new Bitcoin Center Berlin.
We have some great speakers scheduled:
19:30 Visualizing the Bitcoin Economy (Jonathan Levin)
20:30 Alex Spring Plug and Play Presentation and Q & A
21:00 Reality Keys (Edmund Edgar)
For those who want to continue the conversation afterwards, we have a reservation at Barce Lona (Friedrichstrasse 211), just five minutes from Rainmaking Loft.
Jonathan Levin just finished his postgraduate economist at the University of Oxford. There he was the convenor of the Oxford Virtual Currencies Working Group and has consulted senior government officials on the criminal use cases of Bitcoin and written extensively about the Bitcoin economy. He is also a co-founder of Coinometrics (http://www.coinometrics.com) and has spoken at various Bitcoin conferences.
Edmund Edgar is the founder of Reality Keys (https://www.realitykeys.com). His startup won the Startup Challenge award at the Bitcoin 2014 Conference in Amsterdam. They are providing cryptographic data feeds on real-life events. This can then be used to base derivatives, contracts or insurances on. There is no question that services like Reality Keys will play a key role in crypto currency's future. Previously he was Director of Information Technology at Princeton Review Japan and he is also a graduate of Oxford University.
Axel Springer Plug and Play (http://www.axelspringerplugandplay.com) will also be presenting themselves and answering questions. They are actively seeking Bitcoin startups for their next cohorts.
