Meetup: Qtum & Robin8

Details

*** This is an externally organized meetup. ***

Doors open: 6.30pm
Start: 7pm

Talk 1: Smart Contracts of the Future: Qtum's x86 VM
Speaker: Jordan Earls (Qtum, Co-Founder and Lead Developer)

Jordan Earls, the co-founder and lead developer of Qtum, gives an in-depth technical dive into Qtum's new x86 VM. The x86 VM will allow developers to write smart contracts in traditional mainstream programming languages, but there are great features even beyond that. This will go in depth with how the x86 VM's design encourages efficient and secure smart contracts, and how it directly improves the workflow of smart contract development, while also giving the Qtum blockchain significant performance and scalability improvements.

Talk 2: Robin8 PUT: A token for data transparency in the social space
Speaker: Hassan Miah (Robin8, Co-Founder)

Robin8 Profile Utility Token (PUT) is a new wave of social media that is being built on blockchain technology. It is built on the Qtum blockchain and gives control of the profile back to the owner and empowers the user with their own data by allowing them to tokenize and monetize their social media presence with blockchain technology.
Currently, Robin8 is applying this technology in the advertising space through an influencer search engine that profiles, matches and ranks using big data and AI. The Robin8 platform offers a new advertising channel where people are media. However, this is just one use case because any vertical application can be built on top of the Robin8 platform with PUT as a currency in this virtual ecosystem. The company aims to build the fundamental layer of a large-scale profile-based economy that can also scale into industries beyond advertising.
