Solidity 101 - How to write an Ethereum Smart Contract

Details
Hi All,
We are back on the 30th for another outing of Blockchain Nottingham. We are pleased to announce that we finally have a new home for the Blockchain Nottingham community - The Broadway Cinema! We have teamed up with Near Now - Broadway’s studio for arts, design and innovation. Near Now have been busy exploring the potential of Blockchain Technology and they are well aligned with our mission to speed up Blockchain innovation and adoption.
This time we are delving in to the world of Ethereum Smart Contracts with a free introductory workshop.
We are excited to be joined by Vladimir Agaev - a Full-Stack Blockchain Engineer formerly of Applied Blockchain.
Vlad will be introducing the notion of smart contracts. What they are and how they actually work. He will then take us through the general architecture in Ethereum.
From here we will go to an intro in to programming Smart Contracts followed by a live coding session (bring your laptop!)
Time permitting it would be great for participants to showcase their applications to the group should you so wish.
We have a limited capacity for this one of 25 people for the workshop so it will be a first come, first serve basis. To book your place, please email jonathan@intelligentways.co.uk
We will be meeting in the bar area for a few drinks afterwards for those who want to come and meet like-minded Blockchain/Crypto enthusiasts.
The event will be streamed live on our new Youtube Channel - Will share with you in the comment section shortly.
If you want to get a head start ahead of the workshop, you can check out some of Vlad's Youtube Tutorials here;
We look forward to seeing you there!
