April Blockchain Wellington Meetup

Hey guys,

Let's get together to chat about bitcoins, blockchains and smart contracts. It doesn't matter what your background is. If you are interested and what to learn more, have questions that you want answered or want to meet with others in this industry then come along. All welcome.

5:30 pm: Welcome

5:35 pm: "Update on NZ Blockchain Conference".

Mark (www.3months.com) will provide an update on the conference that is only a few weeks away.

5:45 pm: "BANZ - What it is and why you should be involved."

Paul Salisbury (based in Auckland) will be sharing with us the work he is doing and some of the initiatives BANZ (Blockchain Association of New Zealand) is undertaking.

6:00 pm: "The Uber of Electricity - How to sell excess electricity to your neighbour via the blockchain - "

In an effort to disrupt the prehistoric energy sector, Sean has developed a way to measure electricity consumption, store it in a decentralised distributed database, sell it to his neighbour and get paid via bitcoins.
