David Watrin is the Head of Product Unit "Security & Intelligence" at Swisscom. He has a passion for identifying new technologies and taking the business to new levels. David has a track record turning these insights into products.

[Vadim / David / Miika] will introduce the OTC Swiss Blockchain, the first over-the-counter clearing and settlement system over the blockchain.

The prototype of the system is based on a Private Ethereum Chain. While Ethereum is a proven worldwide-available technology for public blockchain projects, it has certain limitations when being used as a private chain. In his presentation, the speaker will discuss the limitations that were discovered during the OTC project implementation, the trade-offs that were taken and give an introduction to another blockchain technology called Hyperledger Fabric. Fabric is a permissioned blockchain which enables implementation of complex projects in the enterprise space.
