I love working out, because it gives me an excuse to drink beer (not really I'd drink it anyways). If you like working out and drinking beer as much as I do then come join me at Blood, Sweat & Beers.This is a meet-up group for anyone looking for a kick ass workout and an excuse to drink beer afterwards with like minded friends. We will meet at a local park to work up a sweat with a bootcamp-style workout (think bodyweight moves, burpees, sprints, etc.), then once we've burned enough calories we'll head to a bar in Royal Oak to celebrate with a beer or two (or three)!
I started this group because I love to workout (I'm a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) and because I love beer - don't you? The workouts will last 45 minutes to an hour and we will workout rain or shine - come dressed for the weather and prepare to work! For now, we will meet at Wagner Park in Royal Oak and from there we'll walk/run/drive/bike down to Main Street for a drink at your favorite spot (The Rock, Royal Oak Brewery, ROAK, Mr. B's, wherever).
The fun begins on Monday April 4th at 6:00 pm and every Monday thereafter for as long as the weather holds. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. I don't care if you're in great shape, good shape or no shape at all and age doesn't matter (as long as your old enough drink), you will benefit from this workout. So grab a towel or mat, some water, and a friend and meet me at the Park.
The cost for this fun, only $5 (beer not included) and for that you'll get a well-planned, supervised, and highly intense workout. It's cheaper than any other group exercise class you'll find and I guarantee you'll have fun and get in a great workout.
