You train too hard to let a flat tire keep you from finishing a race! We will show you all of the tools and accessories you need to be prepared for a mechanical issue when out on the road. We will go over how to change a flat on the side of the road and how to use the tools properly. Please feel free to bring a wheel and change a tube with us. Just like practicing swimming, riding, and running drills, practicing flat changes will make it easier.
I am a 5:30am Tuesday morning track regular, along with a handful of other dedicated, time crunched individuals. If you're looking for some company in the early morning hours, along with some motivation, please come join us! We start at 5:30am SHARP at the Mt. Pleasant track, behind town hall on Houston Northcutt Blvd. We do a 1 mile-ish warm up through the nearby neighborhood and then hit the track. Depending on time, we do the same neighborhood cool down or some track cool down. We bring our own workouts and our own paces. You can bring your own workout or jump in with one of ours. Sometimes we all end up doing the same workout. At the very least, we offer encouragement as we get the workout done before the sun comes up. At the very most, we offer accountability, safety in numbers, some good banter and a reason to show up and get 'er done! Remember, if you want to run faster, you have to spend some time in the fast lane! • What to bring Water bottle, headlamp or blinky light, a towel for your car because you will sweat!
