What we're about

This meetup is for business professionals who work with stakeholders to understand business need and deliver organizational change and business solutions to meet those needs. The Bluegrass IIBA Chapter brings a business analysis program to the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, known as the Bluegrass State. We are the local chapter of the world-wide professional association for business analysts, International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®). We are here to bring together the Bluegrass community of professionals who deliver organizational change to promote best practices in delivering better business outcomes. Please check out the Bluegrass IIBA Chapter website ( http://bluegrass.iiba.org ). Looking Behind the Process Curtain to Transform Your Business

For more information and to register to attend: https://bluegrass.iiba.org/event-3376826 Looking Behind the Process Curtain – Using Business Process Framework to Transform Your Business How many times do businesses carry on outdated, ineffective, and/or overlapping processes without any idea why? When asked why something is done, how often is the answer “I don’t know” or “We’ve always done it this way”? As Business Analysts, our role is to enable change by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value. In response to the above answers, we have the opportunity to look behind the corporate curtain and under the rugs to search out those hidden stumbling blocks that are slowing things down and develop new, better ways of doing business. Clearing away the trip hazards starts at the top working with executives and management to establish a business process framework with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. From there, we can identify and map their associated processes, charting out what and how things are currently being done and look for ways to increase value through improvement (better, stronger, faster, etc.). When utilized effectively, a Business Process Framework along with supporting business process flows can help transform organizations and allow everyone to work smarter not harder. Schedule: 6:00 pm - 6:20 pm - Networking and Refreshments 6:20 pm - 6:30 pm - Chapter News 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Program Presented by: Sue Knies, Director of Practice Management at The Solarity Group Sue is the Director of Practice Management and a Trainer with The Solarity Group, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky.
