What we're about
Our club meets every Wednesday evening (7PM to 11PM) in the function room of the Bull's Head in Warrington, to play board games, chat and socialise, Our rules are simple: To cover the use of the room, we ask that you buy drinks from the bar, and please do not bring your own snacks or drinks. No sticky fingers near games. Be responsible, be respectful, and most importantly, have fun!
We are a casual gaming group which means we do not require members to turn up every week to keep their place in the club. Member fees to cover meet-up costs are £5 every six months, and are collected around April and September.
As well as our Wednesday evening sessions, we also host occasional social outings in Warrington and the surrounding areas, and meals throughout the year for members to get to know each other better. Along with the odd daytime Saturday gaming sessions, for games that just won't fit into a standard Wednesday evening.
Take a look at the comments section for an upcoming Wednesday, and you'll see games available to play. If you see something you fancy, comment on it, and let the game host know so they can keep a spot for you. Alternatively you can turn up on the night to see what games are on offer, but availability may vary. We recommend you arrive promptly at 7pm as these fill up quickly.
You are also more than welcome to bring your own games along and post them on up on the comments section. But please don't be offended if you offer a traditional style board game such as monopoly or kerplunk and find there's a lack of interest. As modern board gamers we're often asked 'what type of games do we play' - a good starting point would be to check out TableTop on YouTube. It's an online TV show that gives a great overview of the types of games we play at the club. If you're still unsure about what to play, message an organiser and we'll point you in the right direction, introduce you to other members, and answer any questions you may have.
We hope to see you soon!
