‘Benefits of A Coding School'
Learning to code can be daunting. Even just wading through the myriad of options for learning can be overwhelming. Ultimately, the majority of new professionals are turning to code schools or boot camps. Why are these such popular options? And what are the benefits of attending a code school?
Todd Albert, Founder of Boca Code, discusses why he has hired so many code school graduates, the benefits he sees, why he ultimately started Boca Code, and why you should consider one of these schools (Boca Code or others) to help you launch a new career in tech.
At Boca Code, they know that a successful career in coding starts with the best training. It's an immersive code academy where you learn the hard and soft skills you need for a successful career. Boca Code's students work on real projects to gain truly relevant experience and actual company names to put in their portfolios. Business partners receive quality-controlled development at affordable rates or in exchange for donations to our scholarship fund. Hiring Boca Code alumni is a no-brainer as they back their graduates with full support for 2 years.
Todd Albert is a NASA Fellow, former University professor, Senior Software Engineer, and Entrepreneur. He is the Founder & Lead Instructor at Boca Code. He has taught computer programming at multiple universities, and taught computer graphics to middle-school students. Todd has gone from utilizing GIS and programming in his scientific research to applying the marriage of these technologies to MadValorem’s map-centric search platform, investing in and partnering with a web, software, and app development firm, was the lead developer for MyPhoto, and is now partnering with some brilliant colleagues to start BOCA CODE -- a code school in Palm Beach County that is joining forces with local businesses to provide real projects for students to work on. He also volunteers whenever possible through Palm Beach Tech and other local organizations.
