The Bodhi Meditation Society is a non-profit organization that teaches meditation for health and wellness. Bodhi Meditations are 30 minute guided visualizations characterized by soothing music and beautiful imagery that assist in calming your mind, relaxing your body, and increasing your wellbeing. There are sitting, standing and walking meditations to appeal to those seeking different levels of physical activity.

Family Precepts with Founder Grandmaster JinBodhi

Online event

On Wednesday (7/8), the founder of the Bodhi Meditation Society will continue his teaching on Family Precepts at 9 pm Eastern Standard Time. During these sessions, he offers advice on compassionate and constructive ways to conduct our family lives so that we can have more harmonious and happy families. Please feel free to join! Greenburgh Library Presents: Bodhi Meditation for a Healthy and Resilient You

In the third year of the Greenburgh Library Summer Meditation Series, our goal is to help you build a Bodhi Meditation practice that can help sustain you during times of stress, isolation or physical illness. During this 4 session series, you will: • Learn about the practice and benefits of Bodhi Meditation • Practice a powerful guided visualization that will quickly bring you to a state of deep relaxation • Perform closing exercises to circulate and seal in the positive energy from the meditation Benefits that practitioners of Bodhi Meditation report include: • Relief of depression, anxiety and stress • Relief of fatigue, headaches, migraine and insomnia • Alleviation of lower back and spinal pain, numbness of the extremities and rheumatism • Lowering of blood pressure and cholesterol levels • Enhancement of functions of internal organs, such as liver, kidneys, etc. • Boosting of immune system; alleviation of allergic conditions You may sit either on a cushion on the floor or in a chair with arms. Please wear comfortable clothes. You may want to have a sweater or blanket available as temperature can drop during meditation.
