What we're about

Bodhi Path is an international organization of Buddhist centers and groups founded by Shamar Rinpoche. Our purpose is to explore the methods and wisdom of the timeless teachings of the Buddha so that we can better understand and work with our mind and emotions. We apply our understanding by training in bringing kindness and discernment to everyday situations. Bodhi Path NRV Meditation Group is a satellite of the Bodhi Path Natural Bridge Buddhist Center. While small, new and fledgling, it is simply providing space and opportunity for those interested in Tibetan Buddhism to meet, to learn and to practice.

Bodhi Path NRV meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM for group meditation, meant to encourage one's personal practice. Then at 11:00 AM, we have group discussion, or listen/watch a Dharma teacher on a variety of subjects.

Upcoming events (4+)

Group Meditation (10:00AM to 11:00AM), Dharma Hour (11:00AM to 12:00PM)

• What we’ll do:

Starting at 10:00 AM, we will have silent group mediation for an hour. This is usually broken into two or three sessions, allowing for legs to stretch. The sessions are relaxed and if discussion or instruction is desired, then that becomes part of the session as well. For new comers, we also offer a quick introduction of Bodhi Path Buddhist Centers and a quick history.

At 11:00 AM, we will have some form of Dharma discussion for an hour. This could take the form of a video or audio recording from a qualified teacher, or it could be a discussion session amongst those in attendance.

We will also share this meeting over Zoom, for anyone who wishes to attend virtually. The link will be sent to those who RSVP.

• What to bring:

Just bring yourself. You are welcome to bring your own cushions, but there are cushions on site.

• Important to know:

If you have a practice, you are welcome to do that. If you are new to mediation, we are very beginner friendly. Simple instruction is available. There is no pressure. Just be here and breathe.

For the time being, while Covid variants and cases are high in our area, we will follow CDC recommendations. Masks are required in person when inside.
