PLEASE NOTE THIS CLASS TAKES PLACE AT OUR SOUTH BRUNSWICK LOCATION: 57 Sand Hills Rd, South Brunswick (Kendall Park), at the Sand Hills Wellness Center, Grace Presbyterian Church *THIS CLASS IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR CHILDREN - and is intended for TEENS and up! ARRIVAL POLICY: It is suggested that you arrive 10 minutes prior to class. CLOTHING POLICY: PREFERRED FOR COMFORT: Long pants, Leggings, or Long Length Shorts are HIGHLY recommended! CLASS DESCRIPTION: Yin Yoga (for all levels of practitioners) works on opening the intricate webbing of connective tissue that connects our muscles helping increase overall flexibility. Yin is a cooling, passive practice in which postures are held comfortably with the support of props for 3-5 minutes, postures must be held a longer length of time to allow connective tissues to expand, helping increase overall flexibility. Yin opens up these deep, dense, rarely addressed areas, increasing flexibility, range of motion and healing past injuries. Holding deep, relaxing, hip, hamstring, shoulder, and IT band opening postures enhancing the body’s relaxation response to allow for deep releases of muscle tension and stress. Leaving the body feeling open, relaxed and renewed.
Yoga for EveryBODY Yoga for everyBODY is an accessible, comprehensive, balanced, body-positive yoga class. We move more slowly into and through each pose guided by our breath and awareness allowing for adjustments and inner reflection. In this gentle flowing fun and playful class we tone and strengthen the body as well as the mind. We end with deep relaxation, breathwork, and guided meditation. Yoga props are well-used and loved tools in our class. All are welcome in this non-judgmental and inclusive yoga class regardless of fitness ability, size, gender or flexibility.
