What we're about

Bold Betties is a national adventure group for women with local chapters across the country. Our mission is to build empowered communities of women who encourage each other to take a running leap out of their comfort zones and discover their bold!

Each chapter hosts an assortment of exciting, local events designed to help you discover your BOLD! There might even be some weekend getaways, trips across the country, or even amazing international experiences!

Our Code of Conduct is a major part of our mission!
• Be kind – This is a judgement-free zone!
• Be respectful – Treat others the way you want to be treated.
• Be inclusive – We welcome anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as female.
• Be positive – We are here to have fun!
• Be safe – Avoid putting yourself, others or the environment in harm's way.

We don't allow mean girls...ever. We empower and we encourage and we give a ton of high fives along the way!

BB Adventure Book Club: Lands of Lost Borders

Bar Louie - Dearborn

The first Thursday of every month, Bold Betties Detroit will host a book club. I'm excited to announce the winner for our October poll! We'll be reading 'Lands of Lost Borders: A Journey on the Silk Road' by Kate Harris. "A brilliant, fierce writer, and winner of the 2019 RBC Taylor Prize, makes her debut with this enthralling travelogue and memoir of her journey by bicycle along the Silk Road—an illuminating and thought-provoking fusion of The Places in Between, Lab Girl, and Wild that dares us to challenge the limits we place on ourselves and the natural world." Here's a link to a YouTube highlights video of her travels as well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAf3FTOPSEk I leave it up to you whether you want to watch before or after you read the book :)
