#17 How to survive a Microservices Migration? & Kubernetes on Azure

Details

Update: We will have an additional session. Microsoft's Daniel Neumann will talk about Kubernetes on Azure.

This time you can look forward to a session about a migration towards Microservices from the software product vendor LeanIX. We will also meet at the LeanIX offices near the Museumsmeile.

For the physical well-being there will be free Pizza and cold beverages.

You can take the train to the UN Campus station or you will find plenty of parking space nearby.

How to survive a Microservices Migration?

LeanIX Co-CEO André Christ will share insights and learnings from its microservice migration. LeanIX just completed its transition from a classical, monolithic application in LAMP stack (php) to a state-of-the-art Microservices application based on Java, REST-APIs and GraphQL.

Therefore André will name, what was essential for them, explain the building process, point out the learnings and finally talk about the mistakes they have made.

Kubernetes on Azure – build, run and monitor your container applications

Get an overview on the Kubernetes / Container environment on Azure and how the different Azure services are playing well together supporting you to build & run first class container applications.

We cover in this session Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Instances, Azure Container Registry, VSTS as CI/CD pipeline and Azure Monitor Container Health for monitoring.
