The purpose of the group is to communicate through literature and books.
Anyone who likes to read or write should join. There's no entry fee. But since the book club allows many genres, including politics and sexuality, the group might be best for adults.
On weekends, we talk about current newspaper articles and publishing; sing songs; compare and contrast books to our current lives; read autobiographies, contemporary books, and excerpts; share book reviews and snacks; exchange books to read; and recreate plays at parks.
Free books are available at New York Public Libraries.
We will meet at eateries and cafes. Other times, members will host our meetings. Some things might be open for voting, like plays and meeting places. Before and after every event, there will be at least 10 minutes for arriving and leaving members to talk among themselves unsupervised.
