Holiday Mixer 2018! - With Book Exchange

Hi everyone. Please mark your calendars and save the date for Monday December 10th. This will be our 6th Annual Holiday Mixer, and I can't wait.

This is always a great night for all, and all are welcome. We can chat about the worse book we read this year, Poison, books on welding and scuba diving, and adore the best book of the year, When the English Fall. And no RSVP limit to this event!

Like prior years we we will be having a white elephant book exchange. Bring a wrapped book to exchange, and you will bring home another book. New or used books are perfectly fine for this exchange. The book you bring can be anything you chose, from funny to serious. And there will be one steal, so pay attention as the books are opened.

Lastly, this is the "Pass the Hat" meeting for the club's Meetup dues, which were $180 again this year. This is the only meeting of the year were the club's dues are brought up. If you were not aware, Meetup.com charges the group organizer (Me) the $180 a year fee. Rather than trying to collect money at each meeting, which is what many groups do, I've setup three ways to donate one time a year. Lastly donations will also be accepted in person at the meeting. This donation is 100% voluntary, but if you enjoy the club, even a few dollars helps keep it running. And like years past, for those that donate at least $15 by any means will get a handmade thank you gift in return. And the gifts are really cool again this year, worth the donation easily.
