Join your fellow Boomers at the invitation of Boomers friend and one of Australia's most exciting young entertainers, Frances Madden (http://www.francesmadden.com/#home1).

An up and coming star of the Jazz scene, Frances' special mix of jazz, blues and classics. This is a chance to catch her in Australia before she gets taken off to the USA or Europe.

Described by ABC Jazz’s Mal Stanley as a talented young vocalist and pianist and ‘one to watch’, Frances is Australia’s rising star of vocal jazz and blues. We are thrilled to have her back and performing her sell-out ‘Jazz Blues & Classics’ show at the Paris Cat Jazz Club.

Frances captivates her audiences with a combination of her genuinely warm stage presence along with a voice and style that is uniquely her own. She is a talented composer so when she performs her own original swinging tunes and beautiful ballads, they merge seamlessly with the timeless classics she covers.

Jazz legend James Morrison says “Frances has a wonderful feeling for jazz and blues standards but what makes her a real stand-out are her original songs and unique style”.

She may be just in her mid twenties, but Frances Madden is surely what some would call “an old soul”. There’s no other way to explain the ease with which she comes up with songs that seem to come from the golden age of jazz. A sparkling pianist, with a bluesy attitude and a flair for bossa, she is also blessed with a sweet, sexy and breezy voice. In her first album ‘If this were a dream’, her refreshing, original songs are paired with some perennial jazz classics in a way that seems surprisingly natural.
