What we're about

As an alternative to venture-funded startups, more and more companies get started under the terms "Self-funded", "Bootstrappers" and "Micropreneurs". (Sometimes also "Solopreneur" or "Lifestyle Business").

If you've launched, or want to launch a bootstrapped business, this meetup is for you!

What makes this community different from the startup community?
• Finding customers and earning money directly and quickly -- instead of taking risky venture capital and waiting forever to release.
• Realistic Goals -- Stair Step approach instead of Hockey Stick growth [1]
• Transparency - many bootstrappers share revenue numbers and business metrics
• Self-funded, no outside investment.
• Really focussed on the customers.
• No large team initially, often started by two people or alone.
• Marketing is often done with zero budget.
