Non-traditional CSS Layouts with Clipping and Masking

This session will review clipping and masking with CSS and demonstrate techniques on how to break the traditional grid layout to create bold, dynamic layouts by drawing inspiration from great design icons such as Alexey Brodovitch, Joseph Müller-Brockmann, Saul Bass, and others.
A bit about our presenter:
Wendee Fiorillo (@theWendee (https://twitter.com/thewendee)) is a UX Designer and Developer with a focus on CSS, web standards, and accessibility and has a passion for typography, visual design, and brand development. Wendee is currently working as the UX design lead and a front-end development lead on a single page application using Aurelia and her past experiences span from working at design agencies to government and include print design for offset and screen printing. Wendee enjoys bolstering teamwork, brainstorming, and has a few celebrity spirit animals including Andy Warhol, Don Knotts, and Carol Burnett.

Unfortunately, while Vermonster’s old brick building has a lot of charm, it also has a lot of stairs, and does not have an elevator. We wish that wasn’t the case.
