Striving for UX Equality

Details
Hope there is no storm cancellation this time! We are re-scheduling this Meetup for our first ever Thursday meeting. Good user experiences are accessible, but being accessible doesn't necessarily default to being a good user experience.
Scott will outline UI patterns that commonly have shaky UX for those not using a mouse, providing solutions and explanations on how to make more inclusive user experiences.
A bit about our presenter:
Scott O’Hara is an accessibility engineer, and lapsed designer, who nerds out about various accessible & front-end dev topics on Twitter, @scottohara (https://twitter.com/scottohara). But as it is Twitter, Scott also tweets a bunch of nonsense. When not doing accessibility things, Scott can be found taking his children to weekend birthday parties. Taking his children to birthday parties for their daycare classmates is presently a huge part of his life. Or at least, it sure feels that way.
General details:
Doors open at 6:30pm for food and drinks sponsored by Vermonster. The talk will start at 7pm.
Unfortunately, while Vermonster’s old brick building has a lot of charm, it also has a lot of stairs, and does not have an elevator. We wish that wasn’t the case.
We will be live streaming the event and afterwards it will be posted to our Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB-Q0Af4p8A23QTnUxg-fgg). Please check this page for the link on the date of the event.
