Join us for our November Meetup! Doors will open at 6:45pm and the talk will start at 7:15pm. We are looking for drink sponsorship for this event (Message us if you or your company would like to help us out).

About the talk:
What we often call “front-end” represents a broad range of skill sets and job titles. It’s an exciting space for generalists to thrive – whether you bridge the gap between design and development or research and UI design, there’s room for you to explore and grow. This talk will focus on finding your place in what seems like an endless amount of front-end related roles, being comfortable and confident as a generalist, and finding allies in and outside of the workplace.

About our presenters:

Katie (https://langermank.com) is a Senior UI/UX Engineer at CarGurus and a co-organizer of Ladies that UX Boston, a meetup group that empowers women who work in design and technology. With a background in Graphic Design, she both designs and develops products that are performant and user friendly. She’s passionate about connecting engineering to design through the magic of CSS. Currently, she's nerding out over design systems and reusable components.

Zoraida (https://www.zoracabrera.com) is a UX Designer/Researcher at Harvard University. Although her primary role consists of learning about users and planning usable interactions, Zoraida has worked as a freelance front-end developer and has a Front-End Development Certification from the Harvard Extension School. She is as passionate about research and design as she is about CSS, and she is constantly finding ways to link her many interests.

General details:
