Agenda for this meeting:

Presentation by Chris O'Donnell : "Exploiting graph queries across the stack"

Description: There has been a lot of hype lately around GraphQL as an alternative to REST. We will briefly explore some of the tradeoffs of choosing GraphQL and introduce a few tools (Fulcro, Pathom, and Hasura) that utilize the power of graph queries. To demonstrate how these tools can be leveraged, Chris will live code creating a (very) small full stack web app.

The talk and live coding should take about an hour. Participants should be familiar with Clojure, but no prior understanding of GraphQL or the aforementioned libraries is required.

Bio: Chris has been hacking and chopping at complexity with Clojure for fun since 2010. After somehow convincing a few professors he deserved a PhD in math in 2017, Chris has been exterminating complexity professionally at Reify Health, a rockin' healthcare startup.
