Connecting to Patient Portals with FHIR

Details
At this event we will get hands on with FHIR and introduce the MassChallenge Health Tech cohort of 2019.
We will review how to connect to a patient portal using an open source JS client application. Additionally we will connect to clinical data from production Electronic Health Records and see patients’ FHIR resources using 3rd party aggregation services. After that you can interact with real patient data created from hospitals in your application. If you want to follow along have nodejs (v8), and git ready to go.
In addition MassChallenge Health Tech is kicking off and many teams from the new group will share what they are building and how they are collaborating with larger healthcare organizations in the Boston Area.
This event is great for folks getting into FHIR and wanting to learn about practical usage, as well as connecting with young upstarts in the local health IT and digital health space.
This is a free event, open to all, but space is limited. Food and beverages provided.
