The NEGO is a diverse group of amateur players led by Dr. Robert Bekkers, a professional guitarist, teacher, conductor and arranger. Robert guides and coaches the orchestra at its weekly rehearsals and conducts the 6-8 performances that take place within the season at various venues in the area. Pieces are arranged in multiple parts taking into account the experience within the group.
The NEGO plays music that is accessible and interesting; in the past we performed everything from Bach to Queen, with many great composers in between.
