This month, we will have well known Haskell guru Edward Kmett speaking about one of the latest projects to capture his fancy.
Abstract
I'll talk about parsing programs (with Haskell-like syntax) in parallel and incrementally by making some small changes to the grammar. In particular, this should provide a nice whirlwind tour of semigroup actions, inverse semigroups and a bunch of less well-known bits of algebra that have a lot of applications.
Logistics
The meetup will be at the Thoughtbot location in downtown Boston as usual. Food should be available near the 6:30PM start time, and the talk will begin shortly after that.
Food and beverages will be provided by Thoughtbot.
