What we're about

This is a group for those in the Boston area, for both experienced professionals and those looking to understand a little more about information security, and also for learning how to engineer security solutions that help to provide better data security to businesses.

A secondary focus is on personal data privacy in all matters of internet utilization and general day-to-day activities. It's essential these days to know how to protect yourself and your loved ones from financial and personally identifiable data theft and misuse.

This group is about learning and collaboration. We want to foster a community of engineering specialists and enthusiasts through projects, talks and discussions.

You should join if:

• You have a general curiosity towards computer technologies

• You're interested in learning and understanding various information security related concepts

• You want to learn how to build systems and networks that help to protect data

• You're in the information security field and interested in expanding your knowledge and/or providing new insight to both professionals and those just starting out
