Pipeline in a Windows Environment with Ed Meagher

Abstract:
Automating and scripting in the Windows environment can present challenges that are different than those in the Linux environment. At Brainshark we have a 100% Windows environment and are adopting Pipeline to handle everything from our builds to creation of NPM and Nuget packages to orchestrating the initial deploys to our test environments through Octopus Deploy. Implementation has been mostly smooth but we have run into some things that are unique to Windows environments.

Bio: Ed has been a Release Engineer/Software Developer for 15 years and has been using Jenkins heavily for eight of those years. He is an avid fan of open source. Much to the chagrin of his wife and two children he us an unabashed gadget collector.
