About us
Calling all ladies who want to talk to other ladies about ladies in fantasy! Let's face it, historically, men kind of dominate the scifi/fantasy scene. I started this group in 2015 to give us an opportunity to meet up with other women who love fantasy novels and female protagonists. Every month, we pick a new book and meet up to chat about it on Zoom!
Our bookclub is LGBTQ friendly, and participation is open to anyone who identifies as a woman, including those who were assigned male at birth. Nonbinary and gender-nonconforming individuals are welcome to join as well.
$5 annual dues (after a 90 day trial period) help cover the Meetup fees for running this group - any additional money will turn into tasty treats for meetings :D

The first leg of the Metro Boston Indie Bookstore Crawl 2026! The goal is to hit all 25 bookstores over the course of the month so that we are eligible for the grand prize on Independent Bookstore Day on April 25. If you want to attend only some of the trips, that's fine too! We just wanted to give folks an opportunity to catch 'em all, if they wanted.
We will be hitting up bookstores located along the MBTA Red Line for the first jaunt.
