Join us at our next Neuromarketing-palooza event on Thursday, May 4th. The evening's featured presentation will be:
The Neuroscience of Memory
Angela Gutchess, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Psychology and
Volen National Center for Complex Systems
Angela will present a mix of behavioral information about memory. She will discuss neural, as well as behavioral, research on memory. How are memories created in the brain? What helps - or hurts - memory? How can you craft your message to be more memorable? She will also cover findings from two of her specific research areas, exploring how aging and culture affect memory.
Angela adopts a Cognitive and Social Neuroscience approach to the study of memory. Her research employs behavioral as well as neuroimaging (fMRI; EEG/ERP) methods and the study of patients (aMCI) to investigate these questions. Courses that she has taught at Brandeis include Human Memory, Social Neuroscience and Culture, Cognitive Neuroscience of Aging, and Introduction to Psychology.
As always, there will be all-you-can-eat pizza, and the entire evening is free of charge. Pre-registration is required.
