Boston VR Vive Hackathon

Details

Prepare for another day of hacking! Dario from HTC will join us, bringing a shiny new Vive Pre! We'll experience and experiment with the Pre (and the two Vive DK1's), and do our usual hack-day, but focused on experimenting with the Vive, by adding SteamVR support to our existing VR projects, or jamming on new room-and-hand ideas. Anybody ready to write code, craft environments, explore VR art, hack on hardware, or otherwise build VR, is invited to come!

The RSVP cost of the event covers a big pizza order for lunch.

Mike Festa and Wayfair have, once again and on short notice, agreed to host us -- many thanks to Mike and Wayfair!

DIRECTIONS:
By T: Back Bay station (Orange Line) is across the street, and Copley station (Green Line) is a 5 minute walk away.
By car: You can park at 131 Dartmouth Street, across the street from Copley Place / Wayfair -- unfortunately the garage is nearly $40 for the day, so consider the T!
Once you're there: Go into the Copley Place mall and find the elevators behind the central fountain. Head up to the "Sky Lobby", and check in with security, who'll give you a visitor badge and direct you to another set of elevators up to Wayfair.

PLEASE NOTE: We won't be doing general demos of the Vives at this hackathon, since we need to keep the kits available for developers to work with. If you want to see the Vive, but aren't working on a VR app, come to the Boston VR meetup on 1/27 instead!
