Come see our headlining presenter Mike Festa from MakeField.org! Mike will be following up his Ted Talk at Tedx beacon. No cover charge for this one. Snacks and refreshments which will be provided. We will also have an array of VR and AR demonstrations with devices like the HTC Vive, the MS Hololens, Ilium VR gun and more.

Makefield.org is an open source endeavor to develop advances in 3D scanning and open world editing in VR for building a highly detailed digital globe. Inspired by Google Earth, Wikipedia, and Minecraft – anyone can contribute 3D scan data, convert scans to game-ready models, and place objects where they belong, from within the game, based on Google Street View reference imagery.
