If you have never seen VR before, you would be better off coming to the regular meetup later this month. You'll see a much wider range of demos, have more people to talk to, and everyone will be set up to receive the general public.
No agenda or prizes, just free-form hacking! Come join us for a whole day of techno-frolic with the other BostonVR devs at Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) (http://brooklineinteractive.org/) under the auspices of their Public VR Lab (http://publicvrlab.com/), a truly excellent resource for the community.
Click here (http://brooklineinteractive.org/location-and-hours/) for directions, parking is free.
Bring your own equipment if you have it, but mainly bring yourself! The $6 charge will pay for pizza, snacks and lots of coffee.
Live Training on ThingWorx by PTC
Marty Markenson is a member of the BostonAR community who works as a product manager for ThingWorx Studio. ThingWorx Studio is a drag and drop augmented reality authoring tool that is able to quickly build AR experiences connected to IoT data. During this session, you will build an AR experience that can be viewed through iOS, Android, Windows 10 tablets or Hololens. Sign up on https://studio.thingworx.com/ and download the ThingWorx View app to have access to the software for this session.
HoloLens for Testing / Development
We'll have a Microsoft HoloLens (https://youtu.be/Ic_M6WoRZ7k) Dev Kit at this event to test and develop on, brought to us by the BostonAR Public Meetup Group (https://www.meetup.com/BostonAR/). This is a great opportunity to learn more about Augmented Reality and try testing out new projects or experiments on Windows Holographic and Unity. We'll also have access to a VR-Ready Laptop for testing out your Vive / Rift prototypes in real-time, as well as a full Vive setup provided by Brookline Interactive!
