For our January event, we will be hearing from Teresa Borcuch, Senior Data Scientist at iRobot! Teresa will speak to us about how she assesses candidates for data science roles using a coding challenge of her creation. Come and learn how to hire data scientists or how to get hired as a data scientist!
Teresa has developed a coding challenge to assess prospective interns’ programming, analytical, and written communication skills – some of the keys to success in a data science role. In this talk, she will describe some of the pros and cons of coding challenges for data science positions, how she designed iRobot's coding challenge, and how it evolved with the needs and responsibilities of the team.
