HubSpot’s partner program includes hundreds of solution resellers around the world, and represents a significant portion of the company’s revenue. Ashley identified a gap in the team’s ability to report on the engagement of this valuable segment then built a new table to solve this gap. Learn how she designed the data model in dbt, and collaborated with business users to leverage the new insights this model delivered for 2020 annual planning.

Bridging the "GAAP" between Finance and BI with dbt

Modelling revenue was Wistia's first large-scale dbt project. Three years on, this work continues to pay dividends by providing insights across the business. In this talk, Chris will walk through the history of this project, highlighting the key improvements made to increase the usability and accuracy of the financial data set.
