Interrupted Time Series Analysis in Public Health and Health Policy using R: Entry-level Case Reviews.
Speaker: Hao Deng, MD MPH DRPH(c), Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School
Dr. Deng from MGH will briefly introduce a simple but widely used analytical method of quasi-experimental designs named Interrupted Time Series analysis (ITS). He will also discuss implementation issues when applying this method to public health and policy decision-making using real-world case-examples and R. This talk will focus on interactive case discussions instead of methodological aspects. Attendees from all industry backgrounds are welcome.
Dr. Deng is a physician-statistician who currently consults for the Anesthesia Research Center (ARC) at MGH. He is a faculty member of Harvard Medical School, obtained his MPH in biostatistics from Brown University, and is currently enrolled as a part-time DRPH student in implementation science track at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
