Wednesday 30 Mile Intermediate / Fast Fitness Ride

Sunny Meadow Farm

The Wednesday Fitness Ride will restart on 7/15 and run through the end of August (26th). Covid-19 and Social distancing guidence by the CDC and MA gov is still in place. The group will be limited to 10 riders. Riders should expect to wear a mask whenever a distance of less than 6 feet cannot be maintained. We'll plan to keep the same route from week to week, as well as the 5:00pm start. Because of the time constraint riders are expected to have some form of GPS guidance or a copy of the route Cue sheet printed out to follow in the event they become separated form the group. NOTE: Although this is a group event this is NOT a N0-Drop ride. Please review the group ride ratings (in the photo above) and be prepared to spin continuously for 2 hours while maintaining a minimum of 15 mph pace. Please contact me directly if unsure of your ability. Helmets are required. Lights (front & rear) and Hi-Viz clothing are strongly suggested. The route can be viewed here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33277257

TNR - Water View

Dilboy Stadium

This will be a 25 mile ride at a modest pace through Arlington, Winchester, Woburn, Lexington, Stoneham Wakefield and Melrose. We'll circle or pass Horn Pond, the Mystic Lakes, Lake Quannapowitt and Spot Pond. Ride limit is 5 guests. Helmets required, lights recommended, masks your choice. Rain Cancels. If you sign up, have the courtesy to show up.

Ipswich Scenic 50 Mile Social Distance Ride

Hammatt Street

NOTE 1: Due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and MA Gov/CDC guidelines, this ride will be limited to 10 riders. Masks need to be worn when a 6 foot distance cannot be maintained. We'll ride a scenic 50 mile route from downtown Ipswich through Topsfield, Boxford, Hamilton and back through Ipswich on (mostly) back roads past horse farms and ocean views from the Great Neck loop. For those wanting a shorter distance this route can be easily shortened by not including either the Topsfield/Boxford loop, Great Neck loop or both. We'll break and regroup if necessary around the 17 and 40 mile points. The 1st rest stop at 17 miles at the Boxford Police Dept will have a bathroom and reliable water source. The 2nd rest stop at 40 miles (Russel Orchids) may not have water and facilities available (I will update this before the event). Please plan to carry an appropriate amount of hydration / nutrition. The average moving pace of this ride will be between 15-16 mph. Those riding ABOVE or BELOW the expected average pace MUST either print out the CUE sheet for the route or have the MAP FILE installed on their GPS device. Faster riders are always encouraged to go on ahead if they choose to. NOTE 2: If someone signing up for this ride has been flagged as a No-Show on previous BAC MeetUp events they will be waitlisted on this ride if necessary in order ensure those with a reliable attendance record have an opportunity to attend. The route map can be found here; https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33365478 For those riders wishing to gather after the ride, The Ipswich Ale Brewers Table is only one block away from the meeting point and offers great food and Beer, (Highly recommended) . http://www.ipswichalebrewery.com/Restaurant.html
