Why do you like Rockabilly music?

As a musician, I am an ardent student of jazz music. Rockabilly really allows me use a lot of improvisational skills developed from jazz to appeal to a great rocking audience. I feel like Setzer did this, and I'm trying to take it a step further. Someone once said to me, "rockabilly is for failed jazz and blues musicians". That person could not have been more wrong. Rockabilly is for people who actually love real music, and you have got to swing. Of course you don't need to be a musician to enjoy it. Nothing is better than playing in front of crowd, who love the music so much they pack the dance floor. The music actually appeals to everyone, any age and anywhere.

I am Bobby Volkman, guitarist and singer of The Bobby Volkman Trio. Please check out my FB page at Bobby Volkman music on FB. I am 16 and have been gigging around NYC and LI since 2012. I love rockabilly, country, swing, and especially jazz music.
