Details
Join us at the Red Hat office in Westford for an evening of chats and presentations related to the Dataplane Development Kit and related projects! Food and soft drinks available from 6pm, and presentations start at 6:30pm. We will adjourn to a local watering hole for after hours drinks and conversation at 8pm.
Speakers:
6:30: "DPDK Userspace (wear flame-proof pants): Aaron Conole, Red Hat
DPDK Userspace recently took place in Dublin. While much of the topics contained interesting developments, two stand out as strongly polarizing: ABI stability, and new changes to the build system. In this talk, we'll present what the issues are, and why they are so strongly polarizing.
6:45: "DPDM - Data Plane Device Management Library": Larry Wang, Intel
DPDM includes a set of user-space library and a kernel module. When DPDK applications built with DPDM, users could use ethtool/ifconfig/ip to manage NIC devices. This talk will provide a description of DPDM architecture.
