What are some of your favorite games?

My absolute favorites are Republic of Rome and Twilight Struggle. My preferences tend towards the Ameritrash and wargames, but I like Euros too, and will play pretty much anything. In addition to the above two, I own Settlers of Catan, Dune, Here I Stand, Flat Top, Game of Thrones, Arkham Horror, Byzantium, a few Cheapass titles, several members of the Great Battles of History series, a few Munchkin sets, and a smattering of other games which rarely see table time.

What games are you most interested in learning?

I'm interested in learning and playing all types of games. I'm not picky. My favorite gaming sessions are a single session play of long games heavy on player interaction and negotiation, like Republic of Rome or Here I Stand, though sadly I find it hard to get a group of six people to devote an entire day to such an event.

Hello, I'm a graduate student in physics at the University of Colorado. I've been playing games since middle school when a friend's father introduced us to his stack of old Avalon Hill titles.
